Our Story

ChildCare Discovery Center was established and opened in April of 2001 in Fort Dodge Iowa.  The center began with 7,000 square feet which included 5 classrooms, restrooms, office, curriculum room and a kitchen.  We added a large playground area in late 2001.  Within about 8 years we had the opportunity to expand, adding an additional 7,000 square feet.  We added two additional classrooms, a large gymnasium, large restrooms, employee break room and a laundry room.  In 2018 we expanded and totally revamped our play yard area, adding sod, sidewalks, rubber chips and new play sets.

In early 2020, the building we were housed in was sold and was no longer going to be available for us to lease.  This is when we decided to explore the idea of building our current site.  We broke ground on May 7th, 2021 (Child Care Appreciation Day). We opened the doors at our current site on March 7th of 2022.  We now have 18,000 square feet which includes: 12 classrooms, large gymnasium, large curriculum room, 2 offices, employee break room, laundry room, 3 large play yards and 3 extra acres out back for sports and activities.
